Is the Aston Martin matching luggage overkill?

How did I miss this? Over-kill, or any girls dream!? I’m not sure if I love it or hate it.

The specifically designed, matching leather cases fit neatly into their allocated spots within the Aston Martin AMV8 Vantage Concept. The bright orange contrasts with the brown, tanned leather that is also fluid from the zips to the interior space and upholstery within the Aston.

All neatly compacted, absolutely stylish but is it a bit much on the colour scheme? I wouldnt choose the matching golf bag, however the luggage would be massively useful in an airport bagagge claim!

Join the Online Revolution

Figures calculated from the IAB (Internet Advertising Bureau) revealed that major brands such as Volkswagen have boosted their online spend in 2010 when considering social medias and online platforms, mobile sites and video formats.

Online tactics and resources have been given a higher priority by the automotive industry, even though it is a constant battle for car dealers to understand the reasoning’s why they should invest. Already seen utilising the online resources are big name auto giants Ford, Volkswagen – for the new Passat, Nissan and even Lexus has jumped on board with their ‘Quiet revolution’.

Life in 2011 is too fast paced to notice billboards anymore, and the demand for higher levels of engagement and a social, fun aspect to marketing is even more of a challenge than ever before.

The iPhone, for example, has become an essential personal accessory. A television- flat screen, no less- is a must-have and a high-tech Volkswagen Passat Saloon with power steering, stability control and integrated Bluetooth technology is sold as a standard kit as opposed to a luxury.

What we have now as a consumer society is ‘choice’, differing levels of necessity and a tight budget to boot. Consumers are becoming more demanding when it comes to the reasons why they should choose a particular product or service and automotive dealers need to trust in online technologies, re-evaluate their marketing budgets and join the Online revolution, or otherwise miss out completely.

Everyone hates Potholes.

Everyone hates pot holes and there is nothing that will get peoples tongues wagging more within residential areas, than when the craters representing Ground Zero in a planetary disaster are covered, or even filled by the council.

Good news however is at hand at last as councils within the last couple of days have received notice that their spending budgets for these sorts of road problems have been doubled for repair and that the local authorities’ targeted have all been given a share of the £200m spend allocated by the government.

The only way for councils to fill potholes is if they know about it, driving your new Kia Rio into the hole and then deciding to take action isn’t good enough. If you can see it, report it.

3 amigos walk from Wembley to Cardiff for Help for Heroes!

Between 18th and 24th March, three amigos started their journey from Wembley to Cardiff in order to raise money for Help for Heroes.

The trio known as Gibbo, Buster and Dave have collectively raised £6,300 so far to put towards Recovery Centres, and for this event have a target of £10,000. Supporting their 140 mile trip is a new Ford Galaxy donated by EAG, and along with the car and their wares, the trio also have a very important possession that needs to be delivered.

If the cause itself wasn’t enough to spur the trio on, the match ball for opening the International Football this year is to be delivered to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday 26th March.

Covering over 140 miles, and reaching a daunting 35 miles a day for 7 days, the guys participating seem in good spirits according to their Facebook and Twitter pages -which have been created in order to track progress.

Help for Heroes is collaborating with Service Charities and Armed Forces in order to help launch wounded, injured or sick personnel into a future of health and happiness.

The wright to cheaper fuel costs…

According to a survey conducted by Kwik Fit, refuelling, or filling up the tank with a litre of petrol for less than a quid is the one thing motorists miss the most.

Prices have tripled since 1991, with fuel bills increasing from £540 pounds a year to nearly £1,500. If put another way, that recently purchased used Suzuki in Staffordshire would once upon a time fill up for £35, now though it borders on £60.

The increase in comfort, better quality interiors, and super advanced gadgets are massively appreciated, however the fuel costs, insurance increases, and extra motorists on the road is making more people find other modes of transport. Bicycle anyone?

New Land Rover added to cost of living?

Unfortunately, no this not the case, however services such as smart phones, apps and dating agency fees have.

Living standards are currently assessed in order to work out exactly what we spend our money on and what those weekely essentials are/should be.

Sparkling wines have been added to balance out the expenditure on Champayne, and televisions are being separated out- into larger and smaller home cinema systems.

Being removed from the ‘basket’ are pork shoulder joints, and vending machine cigarettes whilst dried fruit has entered the race along with MDF in replace of Hardboard.

The office of national statistics collects around 180,000 prices every month, from 650 goods and services including petrol, insurance, and of course food etc. The list is basic however with the sparkling wine going into the basket, who knows, maybe they’ll even add the new Land Rover too?!
